Changes at the Cyprus Tourism
Organisation
From the first week of August a new Chairman and Board
of Directors were appointed at the Cyprus Tourism
Organization, the basic role of the BoD is to govern the
CTO, manage its assets / resources and represent it
before all authorities.

A new era is about to begin for Cyprus’ airports
Hermes Airports Ltd is especially
pleased to announce that the New Larnaka International
Airport Terminal including new equipment and systems was
completed on schedule and has been officially delivered
to Hermes Airports by the project contractors.
The inauguration of the New Larnaka
International Airport will take place on Saturday 7
November 2009 and the official opening for operations
will be towards the end of the same month. During this
interval and until the official opening, staff will
undergo continuous and extensive training in order to
familiarise themselves with the new terminal, high tech
equipment and the operation systems. Like Pafos
International Airport, the New Larnaka International
Airport has been delivered within the specified time
frame and agreed expenditure.
The new terminal of the New Larnaka
International Airport covers an area of 100 000 sq.
metres and will be able to handle an annual 7.5 million
passengers. Amongst other things, it will feature:

15 airline ticket sales counters
16 aircraft walkways
11 arrival / departure bus drop off points
7 security points
5 baggage conveyor belts
2200 parking spaces
Easy access to the highway
VIP Lounge
Business Lounge
Restaurants, cafes and duty free shops
Car rental services
Surveillance systems
New scheme
to attract MICE business to Cyprus offered from the CTO
Dubai office to the travel trade

hopefully planning to) MICE group ready to be sent to
Cyprus, we can offer you some special give-aways to make

completed form at least a month before group is
expected to arrive to Cyprus.
This offer is valid for agents and MICE groups from
Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain,
India, Singapore, Hong Kong and China. Agents from other
non-EU countries will be looked on an individual basis.

From 50 to 100 pax:
From 25 to 50 pax: A gift for each participant, meet and
assist by CTO at Larnaca airport with welcome drink, 2
nights complimentary stay offered by CTO in Cyprus to
agent who has booked group and his / her partner.
For more than 100 pax:
A gift for each participant, meet and assist
by CTO at Larnaca airport with welcome drink, 2 nights
complimentary stay and two airline tickets offered by
CTO to agent who has booked group and his / her partner,
50% expenses of lunch (food and non-alcoholic beverage)
at a local restaurant of CTO choice.
