New
Arabic brochure on Cyprus
Director of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation for the Middle
East and Arabian Gulf Vassilis Theocharides announced on
26th February 2006 the launch of the new CTO Arabic brochure
designed for the Middle East & Gulf market, part of
the CTO campaign for awareness in the Arab world.
"We have finally a new brochure we can distribute
in the Saudi market” Mr. Theocharides said. "We
believe Cyprus will soon be a serious contender in the impressive
Saudi outbound market, as the CTO is targeting each market
with their specific needs."
The creation of the brochure was done following a year
of listening and understanding the needs of the Saudi market
which has its own distinctive peculiarities and needs. The
brochure is part of the CTO’s new campaign in the
Middle East and GCC. Travel agents and journalists in Riyadh
and Jeddah were honored on the 27th of February and 1st
of March 2006 for their support since the opening of the
tourism board regional office in Dubai in 2005.
The dinners were hosted by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation
along with Cyprus Airways the national carrier headed by
the Saudi branch manager Mr.George Kapello. Envoys from
the Cyprus travel trade took this opportunity to present
their products to the receptive Saudi agents and press.
