Boodai Aviation travel extravaganza in Kuwait.
Boodai Aviation which is one of the most experienced and respected tour operators in Kuwait held their annual event this year at the Salwa Al Sabah Hall in Salmiya, Kuwait (30 May – 1 June 2007). Boodai Aviation holds such travel bonanzas yearly to kick start the holiday season form Kuwait, which is the highest traveling market in the Middle East! This year Cyprus was showcased in the event with Cypriot dancers and presentations highlighting the island.
Boodai Aviation followed the event with a very successful exhibition held the next day open to the public where visitors could receive information on Cyprus and directly book there holiday on the spot.
Cyprus Evening in Kuwait
A special evening was organized on the 17th of June 2007 by the Cypriot agency “Outbound Travel” headed by Mr. Demetris Argyrou with joint cooperation from the Cypriot Hoteliers and participation of the CTO highlighting our island. The evening was held in honor of the dynamic Kuwaiti travel professionals and to show case Cyprus for the upcoming summer holiday season. Flights commenced in March from Kuwait to Larnaca with the low cost carrier Jazeera Airways.
Diving in Cyprus
Being an island in the beautiful eastern corner of the Mediterranean, one would expect that there is a fair amount of diving to be explored, and that is correct!
Cyprus boast one of the top 10 diving spots in Europe including the ship wreck of Zenobia of the coast of Larnaka, which is a sunken cargo ship, intact and home to the various underwater life which have the made the boat their home.
Other fascinating wrecks include the M/Y Diana wreck in Lemesos, the Vera K in Pafos and the Phrases II in Lemesos all boasting stunning Mediterranean under water fauna, so expect to see octopuses, barracuda, grouper or tuna!
Apart from wrecks there is also vestiges form the ancient times to be discovered in the Amphorae Reef in Pafos, which is the perfect place to discover vast amount of ancient pottery lying on the bed of the sea ((5 to 10 meters below sea level)

Students from the Emirates Academy visit CTO office in Dubai
Several students from “The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management”, a leading educational establishment in the UAE, visited CTO office in Deira, Dubai, under the guidance of Dr. Heba A. Aziz, Associate Professor, Director of Tourism Programs.
During the hour long presentation and interactive session the students got familiarized with the Cyprus tourist product and the methods adopted for promoting the beautiful island as a year-round favourite destination.
