Feedback from one of Dubai Agents on Cyprus!
Don’t only listen to us, here is a first hand experience of Cyprus from Monesh Talreja key account executive from Al Rostamani Travel & Holidays in Dubai, who just came back from a trip to Cyprus:
“Thank you very much for everything. Cyprus indeed is an amazingly beautiful place I must admit and a perfect holiday destination. There are a lot of unique memories, but to just name a few, I have to think. Cyprus people are very helpful and kind. Places must a visit:
- The Aphrodite baths, birthplace and the temple.
- Wine museum in Lemesos (Limasol).
- A walking tour of old town including a visit to Carob mill in Lemesos.
- Kourion amphitheatre and the Kolossi castle.
- Nightlife at Agia Napa and, if possible, a swim at the beach of Agia Napa.
- The Lady’s Mile Beach was one beach we can never forget, the most popular beach with the most amazing food, just 10km away from Lemesos.
- Pissouri village, one of the most beautiful countryside of Cyprus.
- McKenzie Beach, just 3 kilometers away from Larnaka Airport.
And the list is never ending...........
Not to forget to mention “Raj Tandoor” for Indian food at the beach road in Lemesos. One must surely try the wines of Cyprus and enjoy the delicious Halloumi cheese.
Commandria wine is a must pick as a souvenir and can be preserved for decades. Other local wines like Othelos and Heritage are some of the good ones.
I would also like to thank Mrs. Anna Leonidou - El Guindi for all the help and information she provided, without which I would not have made this a wonderful experience.
I highly recommend Cyprus for any one who is planning for a holiday.
Regards,
Monesh Talreja
Commandaria Route
A trip that takes you back in time, to the secrets of the island's most ancient and famous wine, the world famous Commandaria.
The route through fourteen Commandaria villages goes back to 12th century, when the knights of St. John were perfecting the production of what was perhaps, the first wine in the world identified by its name. Commandaria! The sun, acting as a valuable ally partly dries the harvested grapes, condensing their natural sweet flavors and enriching their taste. Cooperative wineries of the region, operating within an internationally accepted and protected zone, are worth a visit.
Once in the area, don't forget to visit the refurbished wine press of Laneia, which has been kept alive throughout the centuries, a reminder of the land's glorious past in winemaking.
A popular site is also the medieval castle of Kolossi, once the commanding base of the Knights of Saint John.
